Featuring 10 creatives in the Asian American Pacific Islander community, this 120-page magazine highlights AAPI creators and the importance of representation.
Issue 1 features interviews with sculpture artists Cathy Lu and Jennifer Ling Datchuk, singer-songwriter min.a, photographer and activist Kapulei Flores, notable author Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni, and, our cover feature, photographer Peter Yang.
The magazine includes poetry from Monica Sok, an excerpt from author Don Lee’s “The Partition,” an excerpt from journalist and cartoonist Malaka Gharib’s “I Was Their American Dream: A Graphic Memoir,” and an opinion article by Tsz Kam Chinese artist and writer.
